Friends of Gem State Alpacas:
Hummingherd Alpacas; Curt
and Nancy Gedney- We purchased our first 3 pregnant females from the
Gedney's. They have been very helpful in educating us on breeding
decisions, birthing and neo-natal care, and general vet care. Their
interest and commitment to wanting a bright future for Idaho alpaca
breeders and owners are second to none. Our thanks to them for all the
help and guidance they have provided.
Tripping Gnome Farm; Ryen
and Ursula Munro- We made our first ever auction purchase at the 2008
AOBA National Showcase. The Munro's made this experience a great one!
They'll take the time to ensure a right decision, the quality of their
animals are high, and they provide honest education about alpacas.
Pucara International; Al
Cousil and Jude Anderson are quite the team! If you get a chance to
attend one of their seminars- DO IT! Their expertise helped us gain even
more insight into breeding decisions, fleece analysis, and customer
service. Taking from lessons learned at the seminar, we were motivated
to create our own "alpaca scorecard", which is now trademarked and used
exclusively by us when scoring alpacas for purchase or to help with our
breeding decisions. They are also true to their word- something we
always appreciate! Although Al thinks cricket is a "real" game and the
American game of baseball is somewhat of a sissy sport, we don't hold
that against him!
